ill Fayze drops his first release titled “Gold Age” following his 5 part summer single series. Teaming up with ace producer Paul Cabbin (recent credits include Ty $’s Something New & Chris Brown‘s Everybody Knows) who craft a upbeat, head slamming backdrop for Fayze to flex his lyrical muscles while reflecting on how past lessons have prepped him for future success. Aiming to stray from the norm and break the mold of the mainstream, ill fayze offers a unique glimpse into his life struggles and what makes him tick.
ill Fayze (born Marcus Reid in 1997) is a biracial American rapper. He has lived in multiple states as a military brat, but he started making music in 2013 while living in Maryland. There, he linked up with rappers MEADE & OG Sully as well as producer Electric Cher to form the music group Bashment Gang Empire. While the group mostly focused on hip-hop stylings, Fayze looked to fuse mainstream sound with his crafted lyricism.
Born Marcus Reid, ill Fayze is a 20 year old rapper that pursues his music while studying film at Dartmouth College. As a military brat, his life experiences in various areas of the country have shaped and influenced his creative approach and musical stylings. Fayze grew more invested in his endeavors in 2015 by focusing on branding and constricting his creative circle. He enjoys listening to an array of artists and genres, but he draws influence from artists who value both witty lyricism and hard production.
This past summer, Fayze released his summer single series, the two most notable songs being The Last Time (ft. RaneRaps) and Other Women (ft. Fudge). Beyond his vocal artistry, Fayze specializes in videography and video editing.
