Claire Reneé is a classically trained dancer who sings from the soul. Singing a combination of R&B, Soul, Jazz and Pop while being heavily influenced by Hip Hop, this singer/songwriter’s raspy yet graceful vocals along with her unique harmonies always provide an incredible vibe and sound. As a writer she is not one to limit herself and lets all genres of music influence her from world music to country music. With unique vocals, thoughtful messages, and varied musical influences she creates clever and relatable songs such as “License To Drive” from her Doubts, Dreams, and Ambitions EP and “Telepathy” from her most recent collaborative EP Breaking Codes with beat maker Bagir-Ba.

This multi-talented woman has quite a unique background that didn’t start with her having a microphone in her hand or singing in front of family and friends at a young age. Claire started dancing at the early age of 4 in a local modern dance program. At the age of 10 she got accepted to The Dance Theater of Harlem on a full scholarship where she studied Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. Her high school years were spent attending Alicia Keys alma mater Professional Performing Arts School. While attending PPAS she majored in dance completing the PPAS/Alvin Ailey dance program.

Claire’s desire to enhance her natural ear for music and performance led her to study at Manhattanville College, Berklee College of Music, and The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. While in college she studied both Music Business and Vocal Performance. She made the decision to put school on hold to focus on herself as an artist and work on accomplishing the goal of sharing music with the world. “I get inspired by so many things whether singing, writing, dancing, choreographing, or taking pictures. I love expressing myself through art, bringing ideas and topics to light that people can relate to.”
