Canadian jazz trio BADBADNOTGOOD have entered remarkable prominence since their early beginnings cover Tyler, The Creator tracks, and now here they are teaming up with Ghostface Killah for a collaborative album. Ghostface must have also gotten a taste for live instrumentation following his collab with Adrian Younge, and from what I’ve already heard it sounds incredibly good. On ‘Gunshowers’, the lead track from the aforementioned album Elzhi joins Ghostface on the mic, with the lyricism reaching a supreme level, whilst BBNG demonstrate some gorgeous, melancholic live grooves underneath. The album, titled Sour Soul, has no set date but expect it on Lex Records. It’s gonna be goooooood.
