Here’s another collaborative effort from Apollo Brown, and this time the next emcee up to bat is Ras Kass! It’s been a cool minute since we’ve heard from the Carson, CA rhyme spitter, and now here the two unite to bring you a thought-provoking album, called Blasphemy.
No “ism” is out of bounds, no topic too untoward. Whatever you hold sacred isn’t above aggressive inquiry. The album displays their undeniable synergy and when Ras Kass crucifies supposed facts over Apollo’s beats, it’s clear he is the West Coast’s preeminent philosopher. When Apollo’s blaring suites soothe your soul, it’s an ontological fact that he ranks among the best producers in the game.
Blasphemy is scheduled for an October 28th release on Mello Music Group (available for preorder). Until then, here’s the first single on the album which features Pharoahe Monch and Dilated Peoples‘ Rakaa Iriscience on the chorus. The song samples Barbara Streisand‘s 1973’s joint, The Way We Were.
