It’s been a minute since I heard some solo work from the young brother Green Hypnotic asides from collaborating on Cee & Dr Mad‘s excellent Steps To The Peak, dropping a freestyle over the Pound cake beat and completing a short tour. He actually has been on the low crafting this latest offering titled Nostalgic EP with his producing compadre Da-P (who gets love on WIB as well). Nostalgic EP is a 6 track offering from the duo with Da P manning the sound bridge and Green holding it down on the vocals. Thematically the music range from smokey, video game-influenced futuristic/atmospheric thumping beats which gives Green enough space to vent his spleen on his detractors, shed some light into his past and even drop some inspirational gems. I must say Green Hypnotic’s aggressive delivery matches Da P’s spacey trap-based soundscapes and they both manage to keep things engaging for a short while without guest appearances and whatnot.

Pretty solid combination if I do say so myself

The transition between the past and the future… between INC.O.A.S.T.NITO… and INC.O.A.S.T.NITO II . On this EP, Green chose to get drowned in Da-P’s universe and make it his own. Spitting about his current status and his dreams, he tries to keep a balance between the kid that he was and the man that he will be. The Prince that he is and the king he might become…
