Today is the third part of our radio coverage of the Beat Binjaz’ event “Hip-Hop is in the Building” We already brought you interviews from Junia T, Lee Reed, and Eklipz. Today, we feature music and talk from Es, The Demon, and Crayzdom.

Es is a talented rapper from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. We have already featured his music here a few times. Today, we get to hear his thoughts on the music scene in Southern Ontario and listen to two of his songs, “King” and “Speak Up and Speak Out.”

The Demon is a graphic designer, visual artist, and emcee. He was selling art pieces all night long and I had a table set up right beside him to promote The Word is Bond. I was interviewing artists in the green room whenever they were available and grabbed the opportunity to talk to him about music and art. He has actually designed album covers for almost all of the Hamilton, Ontario hip-hop acts who have put out albums recently including Vision, EDP, Part Mada, and others. I also spin a few tracks from his EP “Bedroom Secrets of the MC”

Crayzdom is a veteran in the Hamilton hip-hop scene. He part of the Stylordz, a large crew dedicated to all things hip-hop including breakdancing, production, deejaying, emceeing, and more. We talk about his life-long commitment to hip-hop and play tunes from his album “Suicide in Tiny Increments”

In between each of these interviews, Chase March spins some local hip-hop flavour from The Hi-Cats, Part Mada, and J Shiltz featuring Nish Raawks, Wio-K, and Junia T, Dose.

The first Hip-Hop is in the Building event was a roaring success. As such, a second event is going down on June 22nd. The Beat Binjaz are doing great things fro hip-hop in the community. It is great to see that they want to grow the scene. Not only do they manage artists and throw concerts, they work to make sure other artists can get heard.
