The music video format has been around for decades, through the 90s and 2000s, it has taken flight from multi-million budget music videos, to mid to low-budget videos with exceptional features. In this section, we will not discriminate but highlight some creative visuals that pop up on our radar.
Again, we promise to bring you the best from high to low budget, to animated to DIY and first and foremost, the most creative visuals we can source.

Detroit-based artist Loui$ Automatic shares candid thoughts on the state of the music industry in this thought-provoking and insightful track titled “Murda Musik.” Backed by a cinematic soundscape, the emcee details the dark side of the music business where money and high numbers reign supreme above creativity and integrity. The visuals are shot by Tommie Green who uses an engaging storyboard that follows a rising artist through the dangerous web of underhanded practices by the powers that be.

SV x Alyssa Jane – “All Nighter”

SV & Alyssa Jane pull an “All Nighter” in their latest release. The multi-talented duo once again show us what makes them different with this smooth smoky soul cut comprising warm textures, soft drum grooves, sultry melodies and playful rap verses. The track is about giving in to the euphoria of love and the arms of that special someone. DRINOMAN – “Waiting Game”

Bay Area musician DRINOMAN unveils the lyric video for his song “Waiting Game.” The heartfelt ballad is a reflective piece that talks about the pain that comes with a yearning for that special someone. NIKONEVERLEFT – “TOO FAST”

 

NIKONEVERLEFT shares visuals for their single  “TOO FAST, ” a soulful hip-hop cut that explores the dynamics of blossoming love and the trepidations that come with it. Black Sherif x FIREBOY DML – “So It Goes”

 

Ghanaian superstar Black Sherif teams up with Nigerian heavyweight Fireboy DML for their first official collaboration, “So It Goes.” The track produced by collaborator SamSney with additional production from Louddaaa, is a solemn piece that explores the never-ending pursuit of the good life and escaping the daily struggles. The visual is moti-driven and uses a blend of religious and cultural set pieces to help drive the story.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sissi – “Made in Bnc”

 

Swiss rapper/songwriter Sissi helps close this week’s video playlist with “Made in Bnc.” The DjCharli Bnzoo-produced track is an anthem to her city and stomping grounds and how it shaped her life. The visual is mostly performance with a lot of clips that shows different parts of the city.
