Rakim has release a new track  via ComplexMag to honour the late great Nelson Mandela, “Madiba“. The track will also promote the 2013 film, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, starring Idris Elba, arriving in theatres nationwide on December 25.

We built a sweepstakes around the project, offering our audience the chance to contribute lyrics to the song. Rakim took those lyrics, blended them with his own feelings on Mandela and his reaction to Long Walk to Freedom, and came up with an absolutely one-of-a-kind musical experience. – Complex
