We pay tribute to the Greatest of All-Time with a special edition of The Word is Bond Rap Radio Program dedicated to the memory of Muhammad Ali. Not only was he an amazing athlete, but he was a person of strong moral character, and has been an inspiration to countless people.
I don’t think we would have hip-hop culture without him, either. He was rapping before hip-hop was even established. He had a braggadocio flow and is most certainly a forefather of hip-hop.
Rest in Peace, Muhammad Ali!
You will never be forgotten!
We start off the show with a clip of Muhammad Ali rhyming, and then play songs that mention him in the lyrics for the first half-hour of the program. After that, we keep things moving with two hours of great hip-hop mixed live on the radio.
