New York-based artist/composer Nick Marks was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, where he immersed himself in the sounds of jazz, neo-soul, R&B, funk, Latin and hip-hop music. As a conservatory-trained jazz and classical pianist, and self-taught composer, Marks also added synths and film scoring techniques into his repertoire before moving to New York City in 2016 to pursue his career. His latest release “Back To Life” is a genre-bending collaboration with MC/Rapper and drummer Doron Lev and the duo delivers the goods. Backed by Nick’s rich musical tapestry made up of lush keys, electrifying synth arrangements and soulful textures, Doron floats seamlessly with his commanding and somewhat forceful flow underpinned by rich lyricism.

“Back To Life”  is the first vocal collaboration track in Nick Marks’ Cinematic Chromatics series.
