East London-based Afro-fusion rapper/songwriter Kweku Bandit caught our attention with his style of Afrobeats-infused rap that showcases his Ghanaian roots to the world. Kweku first came on the scene under the moniker Kay K and made waves with his debut mixtape #FreeKayk and now he returns with a renewed vigour and refreshing candour as he drops his new single “Nowhere” alongside a befitting visual. The bouncy afro-infused drill track explores his days when the naysayers and fairweather friends deserted him but now tables have turned and he is back on his feet, enjoying the fruits of his labour. The track has a melancholic violin arrangement and solemn ambiance layered over smooth drill drums while Kweku’s melodic flow and aspirational lyrics remind us to always follow through with the plan and ignore the haters.

The visuals blend a series of performance shots that capture Kweku’s energetic demeanour as he embodies the spirit of the go-getter who made his way through the impossible.
