As Marie Dahlstrom prepares to drop her new EP later this month, she recruits the help of Philly rapper Dayne Jordan and Dan Diggas for this heartfelt and atmospheric single titled “Need You, Pt. 2”

The soft somber ballad is ripe with lush piano chords, sublime textures, and sparse drum arrangements that serve as the perfect backdrop for Dahlstrom’s gripping melodic runs and Jordan’s impassioned flows. Jordan sets it off with a solid opening verse that dives into past errors and the determination to move past one’s flaws. Dahlstrom follows up with her honeyed vocals and insightful lyrics that dwell on growth. “Need You, Pt. 2” is taken from Marie Dahlstrom’s forthcoming Safe Place EP, which is slated for October 29th via JFH Records. The new EP follows her critically acclaimed debut album Like Sand released in May 2020, and her collaborative EP ‘4inARow’ with London-based producer Dan Diggas and Canadian rapper Aligo, released in January 2021.
