“Exodus” is a thought-provoking single by emerging emcee Kaanin. The rapper delivered a hard-hitting unapologetic look at life in the ghetto and how being stuck in a vicious cycle can be detrimental. Lines like “Karma doesn’t shy away cos you bought more guns” and “Never know why only probably know when I die/until then I just gotta get mine” sees him detailing the rat race which the system has put black folks in and the need to stay alive outweighs principles.
