The long-awaited EP from K.I.N.E.T.I.K. and Micall Parknsun is mere weeks away. Spin Cycle is a swift and sharp six tracks and listeners will experience a mixed load of K.I.N.E.T.I.K.’s tidy white wordplay and Parky’s mud-stained beats.
On the lead single, ‘Wishful Thinking’, K.I.N.E.T.I.K. links up with Manchester vocalist, El-Ay, like Josh Baskin and Billy Kopecki. Lighthearted anecdotes and dark humor rule the day with the bar work while El-Ay’s detergent laced melodies provide the much needed singalong factor. Parky plays the role of Zoltar with the plucky guitar stabs and profound strings.
The name K.I.N.E.T.I.K., in relation to “moving energy”, was bestowed upon him because he could “move you mentally, physically and spiritually”. In order to enhance his individuality, he also created the acronym “Kultural Instinctiveness Nurtured Into Effectively Tackling Incorrect Koncepts”, further reinforcing his steadfast intention of having something worthwhile to say in every verse.
