I’ll be the first to admit I had no idea who Jef Kearns was before I saw the video for this track “Play On” which he did with Slakah the Beatchild. Kearns is a Toronto based flautist who makes jazz and urban influenced soul tracks. Now don’t write this track off because it features a flute, it’s surprisingly smooth and funky.
