December 3, 2011 Hugh Augustine was shot 3 times in the lower body leaving his left leg damaged. Doctors told Hugh he would not be able to walk again without the use of assistance. after 6 months Hugh found the strength to drop his walker, cane, and crutches and stand on his own two feet. He released an album March 23, 2012 produced by Al B Smoov titled “Word Is Bond” that was his first response after being shot. Now Hugh comes back again with a mixtape to show everyone how he’s doing exactly one year since the incident.
Today, South Central, CA native Hugh Augustine releases his mixtape “Still Standing On LaBrea”. An exact year and day after Hugh Augustine was shot 3 times in the lower body leaving his left leg damaged. This mixtape features nobody but Hugh himself with production credits by Al B Smoov, BeatBoy, Mike Free, Danny Dee, Lawrence Frazier, Sean Ahmad, and Geezybo HFactorMusic. The mixtape aslo serve as a follow up from Hugh’s March 23rd, 2012 release “Word Is Bond LP” with producer Al B Smoov. Still Standin’ On LaBrea is a testament to the sunshine after the storm.
