UK-based singer/songwriter Lee Lewis shares their new single “The Long Way,” a heartfelt ballad that explores accountability and regret. Backed by an ethereal and soulful backdrop comprising Spanish guitar riffs, warm strings and a soft drum groove, the singer takes an introspective look at a past relationship and the role he played in its destruction. Armed with a sultry and mellifluous vocal tone, Leweis delivers a soul-stirring performance ripe with relatable lyrics that dive deep into the emotional turmoil that comes with self-assessment and coming to terms with one’s own actions.
As a young Black queer artist, Lee Lewis channels lived experience into songs defined by vulnerability and emotional depth. Forming part of a creative team alongside co-writer Bijou Choder (Channel Tres, Duckwrth) and producer/co-writer youthxl/ Roméo Testa (James Blake, Joey Bada$$), Lewis’ ecosystem speaks to his growing reputation amongst some of the brightest underground and established talent in the US right now.
