“Mutations” is the latest single from the Toronto based hip-hop group Grand Analog. The laid back, head nodder is a befitting homage to the early days of hip hop with soulful chops, snappy drums and a solid feature by the legendary Posdnous (De La Soul) who trades bars with Grand Analog member Odario. The song is about the idea of time itself, and signifies Grand Analog’s continued growth as artists and songwriters.

“Mutations” is the lead single off of Grand Analog’s upcoming EP Survival, being released on January 26th.  Their forthcoming EP Survival features talented guests such as Shad, A Tribe Called Red, Clairmont The Second, Adaline and Posdnuos of De La Soul. The Survival EP is an ode to “golden era hip-hop”, with beats that are soaked in J Dilla influences and plenty of head-nodding funk.
