Potatohead People‘s De la Soul-assisted single  “Baby Got Work” gets a solid revamp courtesy of legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff and keyboardist Kaidi Tatham.  The result is a bouncy, soulful jam that imbibes the classic hip-hop soul vibe we all grew up on. From the smooth alluring textures to the punchy drum break and DJ Jazzy Jeff’s scratches, the track sure delivers in a copious amount the goodness we all need.

The change in backdrop sure complements Posdnous uplifting lyrics about rising to the task and focusing on your goals while Vancouver-based collaborator Kapok sings about how fleeting this life is so it’s best we get back on course to make the best out of it.  It’s an allusion to the desperate times we’re live in, with a hopeful call to action for all of us to roll up our sleeves and get down to the business of change.
