As Hip-Hop celebrates 50 hearty years, it’s only right for the legends who paved the foundation to come together and celebrate their legacies and the culture. With that being said, we got the legendary rapper/producer Diamond D and De La Soul’s Posdnuos teaming up for “Flying High”. Over a smooth soulful sample and upbeat drum grooves, Diamond D gets into his element as he savours every bit of the good life with vivid rhyme schemes and imagery that will inspire listeners to get on their grind. Posdnous also joins the fray with a solid performance ripe with insight.

The accompanying visuals directed by Tommy Nova, iRossta, Adrian Ferguson and Diamond D boast cameos from a slew of hip-hop legends. The visuals tap into the upbeat, triumphant vibes of “Flying High,” which the rapper/producer says “the song is about rising above negativity while enjoying life to the fullest.” Diamond D embraces that message here by cruising around in the 7, enjoying some fine dining with Scram Jones, Buckwild and Statik Selektah to popping bottles and good vibes with rap royalty like Pos, Maseo. N.O.R.E., DJ EFN and Stacy Epps.
