Toronto based indie act, Edisunn makes his way to our site with a retro-tinged single titled “Up to Chance.”

The track is one of his many collaborations with fellow Canadian producer Kieran Cousins, who is also his high school friend, and the duo sure brings something refreshing to the forefront.  The soundscape is a mix of future-RnB, electronic/pop, and hip-hop and showcases Edisunn’s storytelling and singing skills. here, he takes us on a journey of blossoming love and all the weird emotions that come with the territory. He approaches thhe topic with a very fun-filled demeanor and doesn’t go overboard with the syrupy vibes. It’s quite engaging and head-nodding too.

“Up to Chance” is taken from Edisunn and Kieran Cousins’s project Thinking Over-Thinking. This E.P., along with all of their other work, attempts to create a sound that is reflective of their separate musical influences and experiences.

Canadian rapper and songwriter Edisunn is the newest artist to join the scene from the new school, packaged with a refreshing balance of captivating melodies and lyrically complex rapping. Some of the artists that inspire his unique sound include Mac Miller, Anderson Paak., Immortal Technique, Kendrick Lamar, and many others.
