Canadian singer Tissa Rahim returns with a brand-new single “Very First Time” which sees her seamlessly fusing English and her Persian mother tongue. The smooth soul/R&B offering is bolstered by a sublime production made up of rich piano keys, lush guitar plucks and head-nodding grooves provided by Benjamin Millman and with songwriter Alvin Brendan assisting. Tissa explores blossoming love with that special someone. Lines like
“Cuz you, you’re the waves crashing on the beach
The light of the moon that doesn’t sleep
And I wanna hold you endlessly”
set the stage as Tissa expresses that feeling of the very first time that will always resonate with listeners.
