RZA and Quentin Taratino are working together again. RZA will appear in Taratino’s upcoming movie, “Django Unchained”, as Thaddeus, a violent Mississippi slave. Jamie Foxx plays the lead as a slave-turned-bounty-hunter — a role Will Smith turned down. This is the second time Taratino and RZA will work together. If you remember, RZA did the soundtrack for “Kill Bill: Vol. 1”. “Django Unchained” sounds like part “Inglorious Basterds” but with slaves and part spaghetti western — which sounds awesome.

With Tupac and NWA biopics rumored, it’s only fitting that RZA is rumored to be working on an Ol’ Dirty Bastard biopic. Apparently, ODB’s cousin, Raeshawn, wrote a script that took him around two years. However, that’s not the interesting part. It’s rumored that the actors clamoring over the coveted role of the one-and-only Dirt Mcgirt are Eddie Griffin and Tracy Morgan.
Here’s what RZA told XXL:
Eddie Griffin is down” he said. “Me and Eddie talked about it, laughed about it. Tracy Morgan, he wanna do it [too]. I said ‘Ya’ll both kinda can do it.’”
Asked who had an edge, the Wu-Tang Clan leader hinted at Griifin. “Eddie spent time with Dirty,” he shared. “They knew each other well.”
I’m skeptical of Eddie Griffin for reasons that I shouldn’t have to elaborate on.
