Corey Loveless teams up with Anthony Kannon for this interesting collaborative track titled “Narcissus.” The track is a 6-way team-up between Loveless, Kannon, producers Casper Molina and Osiris as well as two local engineers Process and Pierce Dyrlie. The concept was to challenge their usual workflow and integrate more moving parts in order to create a unified front and the result is solid. The production is a dusty piano-laden soundscape that starts off with an off-kilter drum break before switching into the traditional boom-bap style. Loveless kicks it off with an insightful verse followed by Kannon’s reflective input as they both dive into the effects of vanity in this modern era on the confidence of creatives.
