Chuuwee and Trizz return with a brand new cut titled “3.5” which serves as the duo’s precursor to their forthcoming collaborative album 3.5 (Eighth). The single has woozy, atmospheric feel and it really has a sparse vibe to it too but the emcees are full at home here and deliver solid bars. Chuuwee kicks it off with his unique smooth flow while Trizz follows up with his West Coast twang to complete the mission.
With nods to rap royalty including the likes of Jay Z and Nas, Sacramento based Chuuwee also cites the socially conscious rap stylings of East Coast duo Gang Starr as a major influence in his work. Their eclectic blend of New York jazz and hip hop blends effortlessly into the pairs work, pulling threads from their array of influences to create a rich tapestry of their own.
