In celebration of the  28th anniversary of Public Enemy’s classic third album, Fear of a Black Planet. The legendary PE frontman Chuck D joins Bishop Lamont, and Mykill Miers for this powerful record titled “I Rap Black”.  With production from Swedish producer, Max I Million cuts from Swedish deejay/turntablist duo Create & Devastate (the latter of whom tragically passed this past March) while Besh One handles the outro cuts, the trio kick ballistics over the slapping instrumental with each serving their unique flavour. Chuck D sets it off with his characteristic commanding vocals followed by the 2 Cali emcees Lamont and Miers who drop thought-provoking bars to complete the cypher.

In addition to being a celebration of Fear of a Black Planet, “I Rap Black” is the latest track off Max I Million’s forthcoming project, Maxtape Vol. 2, the sequel to his 2010 release, The Maxtape. When the tape drops in the fall, you’ll hear this single alongside past highlights and exclusive new material, all seamlessly mixed by Create & Devastate. Features include CL Smooth, Edo G, Skyzoo, Hus Kingpin, Smoovth, and many more.

“I Rap Black” is now available through all digital retailers and streaming platforms via Counterweight Records. Be on the lookout for more info in the coming months regarding Maxtape Vol. 2!
