If ever you want to summon the aura of soft focus, Parisian noire, or mellow vibes on sophisticated nights, then you don’t need to look much further than Charmingly Ghetto’s ‘School Daze’. The Boston MC is making impressions in the world of the underground, no doubt about that, and on this he steps his game up another level by recruiting live instrumentation and production with the help of musical engineer Zach Capner. Charmingly Ghetto takes us through the story of romance along with Brionne Wright, who’s voice opens up the lyrics, and this is the first of a joint project that CG is undertaking with Capner. I’m looking forward to seeing what else they create together and as for Charmingly Ghetto, he’s showing just why he is a Word Is Bond-cosigned MC. Every joint he drops he makes improvement.
