London artist Catching Flies links up with fellow UK artists, singer Oscar Jerome and rapper Jay Prince, for “New Gods” single off his forthcoming album set to release later this year.

Reaching fame from his previous catalog of music, Catching Flies brings his A-game filled with a perfected flow of R&B and RAP (rhymes and poetry).  The record is imbued with intertwined mixtures of electronica, soul, Hip-Hop, and even house for a smooth deliverance.  Listeners will experience the emotion form Flies stimulated by jazz infused instruments and selection of mesmeric beats.

The record is three minutes of self-realization that’s inviting for listeners all around the world. Flies describes “New Gods” further below.

“The track represents a breakthrough moment in the sense that I felt super inspired again after a long period of feeling frustrated with my own process. Collaboration felt like a good way to fix this… and it did! Oscar had just released one of his debut tracks ‘Give Back What You Stole From Me’ and I remember hearing it on Gilles Peterson’s show and it really caught my ear because it sounded fresh and I hadn’t heard anything like it. I hit him up and we did a session. I also wanted to have a verse in there so hit up Jay – I’ve been a fan of his work for a while. Everything came together very naturally. The tune is essentially about reaching equilibrium in your own life… fresh starts and bettering yourself – so all things considered it felt pretty poignant and really resonated with me.”
