After teasing his fans with several singles, prolific producer BP Infinite drops his new compilation project Kill or Be Killed. The 15 track compilation brings together a plethora of veteran emcees in the underground scene over hard-hitting backdrops provided by BP himself.

The compilation opens up with “Tournament of Champions”, a solid cinematic intro that draws listeners into the fast-paced, action-packed and dangerous world BP Infinite has created. The title track follows this bringing super lyricists RJ Payne and Skyzoo alongside DJ Stitches who scratches on the hook. The track exudes pure raw energy that sees both rappers fusing blend graphic morbid imagery with finesse while launching verbal darts at the opposition. He takes us to Queensbridge with the aid of Tragedy Khadafi and Nature on “Street Vengeance “ and as expected we get a double dose of fiery bars from the time-tested rap veterans who flow effortlessly over the brooding backdrop. Next is “We Out of Here” featuring Elucid, and Gudda Vell who break the mould over a creepy and ominous backdrop laced by BP. We then get hit with an anthemic piece “They Know Who It Is” which pairs E Class and Nature who bring another dose of hard-hitting bars.

The fun continues with  “Kill Squad” featuring the legendary New Jersey lyricist Redman who delivers his characteristic off-the-cuff raps over a thumping instrumental. DJ Stitches also joins the fray with a short scratch routine at the end. Next is the previously released single “Love and War” featuring Eddie Kaine, J. Arrr and Bub Rock. The trio don’t hold back with their unapologetic raps and send shots toward the opposition over the menacing backdrop provided by BP Infinite. Other dope tracks include the celebratory track “Raise Your Glass ” featuring Shabaam Sahdeeq, 9th Prince and Bunchy Cartier, and the classical music infused“Can’t Fuck With Me” which brings togetherTragedy Khadafi, Mooch and DJ Stitches. “Deep in My Heart” is another ultimate posse cut that brings together super lyricists like Thor who help bring down the verbal hammer. Over BP’s cinematic soundscape comprising rich orchestral vocal samples, dark strings and punchy drums, Cory GunzTragedy KhadafiElzhi and Murkemz trade unapologetic bars in tandem and give audiences a much-needed lyrical slugfest that is worth every listen. Tragedy Khadafi and  Gudda Vell bring their A-game on “No Replay”  while Shots Almigh, and E Murda team up on the soulful  The End”. “Screwface” is a collaboration with the duo Dunbar and showcases their laidback nonchalant flow and vivid lyricism.

The project closes out with “I Survived” (feat. Shots Almigh and Eddie Kaine) and “ Listen Up Part II” (feat. Pillz, Bunch Cartier). The former is a reflective piece that sees the emcees speak on their traumatic experiences in the mean streets. The latter is a relatable piece that is underpinned by street-savvy bars from Pillz and Bunch Cartier over a sparse solemn piano riff.

The album is available now through all major digital retailers and streaming platforms, with 200 copies available on red-marble vinyl through Bandcamp and Get on Down, via Common Virtue Records.
