“On the Run” is the newest single from emcee SUMiT, who teamed up with Cory Gunz for a masterclass in unadulterated lyricism. Backed by an energetic soundscape featuring pulsating synth, thick bass-driven drums and cinematic textures, the duo set out to set the record straight for the naysayers and detractors. SUMiT takes the lead with an intense and paced flow that blends wordplay, engaging rhyme schemes around the concept of revenge and self-assessment, and it’s followed by Gunz’ celebrated machine gun flow, which complements the track nicely.
