If you are going to attempt a cover of a song, it has to both be and improve upon the original. This is always difficult to do, especially if you are covering a track created by the talents of Erykah Badu and Madlib. However, Dutch beatmaker and multi-instrumentalist BINK has done just that on his arrangement of ‘The Healer’. Using live instrumentation and looping, he reconstructs the song – a single from Badu’s New Amerykah Part One (4th World War) – from scratch. A really nice piece of audio. BINK notes this is an ‘ode to Madlib’; you can be sure Madlib would appreciate this one.
