It’s been a big month for Brooklyn emcee (Orlando-bred), Lafeyette Stokely so far. Last week, he graced listeners with some visuals for 1995, the first single off his latest drop: Life’s Journey: Life Goes On. The week before that he sparked excitement with a listening session held in New York City. Finally, the record is here. The 15-track project nicely pays homage to the golden era of hip-hop, both through bars & beats. Throw your headphones on and spin it back after the jump.

Some words from Laf:

This project was truly a Journey. This same day last year I was releasing my first solo EP titled “Life’s Journey.” I’ve been in New York for a year now and I can truly say that I’ve grown both musically and personally. I feel like I welcomed listeners into the world of Lafayette Stokely with “Life’s Journey” but with “Life Goes On” I am thoroughly introduced myself. So welcome in once again and enjoy the soundtrack to my life.
