This is a beat tape I came across a while back and I wasn’t sure how to approach it. This struck me as something very different, very experimental and emotional as well. The suspect Lord Faz made this beat tape for his late significant other and while empathizing with him, I would like to also add that this is a befitting tribute. After a couple of more spins, I started to appreciate the off kilter approach taken on this project. combining live drum programming, surreal dreamy sound textures, engaging  and sometimes obscure samples resulting in a off beat, retro-futuristic set of beats. This is definitely something to vibe to.
