Relic aka Rel McCoy and Fresh Kils are set to drop a collaborative album entitled The 13th Floor. It is available for pre-order now and you can even get a signed copy of the CD from their Bandcamp page. I have been a long supporter of both of these dudes. They are incredible talents and I can’t wait to hear this entire project.

Ahead of its release, they stopped by The Word is Bond Studios for this in-depth and exclusive interview. They took over the whole two-hour show too.

Chase March talks to them about producers who rap, using the MPC as a live instrument at shows, the art of sampling. the importance of the DJ, and hip-hop’s default position. He also spins some of their great music. You won’t want to miss it!
