Vocab Slick‘s new single “Atonement” sees him working with producer Chef Boyz who laces him with a somber and melodic backdrop. Vocab Slick is in full reflective mode here as he takes the listener down the path of self-realization in this social media era where we often seek approval and self-validation from others.

“Atonement” serves as the third single off Slick’s upcoming EP, Language, and it resonates particularly strongly at a time when social media has made so many of us so desperate for the approval of others. In fact, it’s basically a huge middle-finger not only to any doubters but also to the very notion that we need someone else to give us the OK to pursue what we love.
