London-based French rapper/songwriter Vinscat teams up with Brooklyn producer 1080Z for this heartfelt and moody record titled “Black Box Freestyle”. Over a sparse and somewhat dark backdrop, Vinscat delivers a spoken word-tinged performance ripe with insightful and reflective lyrics. Her delivery is mellow, calm, and quite emotional while the somber instrumental chorus helps tie the verses together.

The visual has a dark cinematic feel and makes use of performance shots of Vinscat with seamless transitions and subtle effects and subtitles to complete the job. The video was shot in the Black Box of the renowned Malmö based music venue Inkonst.

Vinscat is a 26 years old singer-songwriter from the south of France who is based in London. Her style is a unique fusion of pop, hip-hop, and jazz.
