A 3 Part documentary on J Dilla by Stussy?!?…this is just the Cream De La Cream on what its proving to be an amazing year for J Dilla’s memory.

“Stussy produced a three part documentary series about J Dilla’s life in Los Angeles that they’ll be releasing every week. They just threw up part 1 of the documentary on their site, along with the accompanying pictures to go along with it.”

On Saturday, they’ll be celebrating “Dilla Day” with the release of the limited edition J Dilla x Stussy x Stones Throw t-shirt that features Raph Rashid’s classic photo of J Dilla working on his MPC3000 from his book Behind The Beat. They will be holding special “Dilla Day” events at some of their North American stores for the release.

They’re releasing part 2 (”Detroit to Los Angeles”) on next Wednesday and then part 3 (”Donuts”) on the Wednesday after that.
