Jonathan Emile is back with a brand new visual for his single Reception– which is off his full length LP ” The Lover/Fighter Document LP.  Check it out right away.

Coming with the sixth single from ‘The Lover/Fighter Document LP‘, a debut album with longevity, Jonathan Emile delivers his latest visual for ‘Reception‘.

A certified hit on Spotify, receiving over 70,000 plays and placements on major playlists such as ‘New Music Friday’ and ‘Hip Hop Central’, ‘Reception‘ is a living example of real time fan feedback, where an artist can see the numbers of their most popular songs and act accordingly. Piracy issues aside, the digital age certainly comes with major benefits and Jonathan Emile was quick to adapt.

Shot in Montreal on the coldest day in January, the visual follows Jonathan around the city as he battles with the physical embodiment of the hindrances of the industry in the masked characters, who also represent the fight with his inner demons and the duality of his conscience. The disconnect between the expectations of artists and the reality of the music world are explored and impeccably brought to life by Fatty Soprano of Driven Paper Films.
