Musicians’ Confidence and J Ferra start this year’s instrumental playlist with “As We Do,” a bouncy soulful jam that evokes nostalgia steeped in the golden era of hiphop. From the crunchy boombap drums, retro jazz textures punctuated by soft pads, pulsating basslines and sublime horn passes, the duo deliver a solid cut that lovers of hip-hop would love.
