It’s a tough job as we sift through a ton of high-quality tracks just to settle for just 5 so we switched it up so now we curating the Top 10 Submissions. Now that is what we call dedication, so sit back relax and get familiar with these acts.

Narou & James Chatburn – Oblivious.

Vienna born producer & singer/songwriter Narou team up with Australian producer and artist James Chatburn on the new collaborative single titled “Oblivious”. The two linked up last year in Berlin and worked towards crafting some eargasmic material. Fast forward to 2019 and “Oblivious” was birthed. The single is a vibrant soul-drenched record built on Steel pans , piano arpeggios and detailed layers of percussion and melody. Chatburn really taps into our emotions as well as he reflects on feelings of uncertainty in a tumultuous relationship.

60 East – 2019.

West coast emcee 60 East kicks up some dust with a good old freestyle titled “2019”. Backed by his longtime collaborator producer Phil the Pain who cooks up a gritty backdrop and DJ Ready Cee who cuts up some classic vocals on the hook. He is currently among the lineup in his 3rd Annual Happiness of Pursuit Festival which features Conway/Benny The Butcher, Skyzoo, Sa-roc and many more taking place in his Hometown of Ontario, CA.

Tay Rob – That’s How We Do

 

DeVonte James Robinson, also known by his moniker Tay Rob, delivers a solemn single titled ” That’s How We Do”. Over a mellow backdrop, he dwells on the positive aspects of life and having a strong work ethic and also pays tribute to his late grandfather and a friend that both passed away in 2018. The track is very poignant and relatable. Get it on Spotify

Tay Rob was born in Ft. Irwin, California but shortly after moved to Ft. Knox, Kentucky and then to Memphis, Tennessee where he currently resides. Now at age 23, he started writing music in high school but did not start recording music until 2016.

 

 

Jide – Vibe.

Emerging Houston, TX-based emcee Jide shares his newest record titled “vibe” with us. The song has a laid-back, dreamy feel and sees the young emcee switch between rapping and melodic laced vocals. Like the titled says, it’s a vibe from start to finish. Get it on Spotify

 

 

 

4th – Thoughts & Prayers

Canadian emcee Anthony James aka 4th voices his opinion on his new record “Thoughts & Prayers”. Over a haunting/cinematic backdrop, he shares his views on gun violence and how school shootings have plagued North America and it’s a growing epidemic. A very poignant record if you asked us and its definitely something needed in these crazy times.

KiLiK – M0UNTAINT0P.

Emerging indie rapper KiLiK shares his unique style of hiphop with the release of “M0UNTAINT0P”. A very lyrically dense record that showcases his love for nature, spirituality and the essence. One of my fav lines from this track is ” hard to tell the difference between a hero and a villain when the snake offers fruit and your God has gone missin”

 

 

 

Tamara Bubble – Berserk.

Tamara Bubble returns with a vibrant upbeat single “Berserk”. The track is a fiery showcase of uber-confidence and self-assertion as Bubble states with a matter of factly approach on the track. She has no time for naysayers and aims to be comfortable with herself regardless of other peoples opinions. Get the audio on various DSPs

The Kii – The Way You Love (feat. Loof).

“The Way You Love ” is a soul-drenched jam delivered to us by Mannheim based The Kii and vocalist Loof. The track is pretty slick and alluring from start to finish as Loof brings back the classic RnB vibeswith his undeniable vocal performance. e’s bringing a whole lot of sexiness to an already smooth tune, making it the perfect song to blast on a beach at sunset or simply bop your head to.

Saint Lane – Zip Code.

 

Auckland emcee Saint Lane puts his 2 cents in the issue of zip code violence on his new track “Zip Code”. he doesn’t try to beat listeners over the beat by preaching but by stating matter of factly the issues he has experienced or heard and why the violence is absurd on all levels. He does it over a mid-tempo vibrant backdrop which is a far cry from the poignant topic he is talking about

 

 

 

M.P. – Black Magic.

Madison, WI-based Artist/Producer/Engineer M.P. pays tribute to blackness on his new record aptly titled “Black Magic”. Over a soulful and groovy backdrop M.P shares his experiences and much more as he celebrates black excellence on this solid record. Get it on Spotify

 

 

 

BONUS CUT

Tonio Sagan & Honeycomb – (Live Rap X Beatbox).

 

A brief single shot live performance featuring vocals by producer/emcee Tonio Sagan (grandson of the late Carl Sagan) and music by world-renowned beatboxer Honeycomb. Both artists have albums dropping this spring.
