It’s a tough job as we sift through a ton of high-quality tracks just to settle for just 5 so we switched it up so now we curating the Top 10 Submissions. Pheeyownah – Scent/Sweat.

Pheeyownah delivers yet another esoteric fuelled RnB gem on her new song “Scent/Sweat”. Inclined not to follow the norm, she goes for a gloomy/cinematic vibe as she details her journey from a tumultuous relationship to absolute freedom. She adds “the record is about getting rid of the scent of someone you no longer want in your life way by sweating it out of your system.”

GANJA BABY – Gorgeous Barbie.

South London based rapper Michael Mikel Asare Dompreh aka GANJA BABY shares the visual for his previously released song “Gorgeous Barbie”. Over a dark trap backdrop, he crafts a record that incorporates the beauty of femininity as well as his love of Great Britain hence GB/Ganja Baby/Gorgeous Barbie.
His family hailed originally from Ghana. Not only is GANJA BABY a UK artist and rapper he is also a songwriter, investor, and entrepreneur and owns his own Independent record label Young Ownerz (YOz).

 

 

 

 

$inclair – Lights OFF!.

$inclair‘s “Lights OFF!” has a freewheeling feel and sees the rapper deliver bravado bars with no restraints over a smooth polished production from Mayboi Beats. Mayboi sets the bed for $inclair to comfortably get off, effortlessly rapping about some prospective lustful activities for the night.

 

 

 

Mark James III – SYSTM OVLD.

 

Mark James III‘s “SYSTM OVLD” gifts us with some soul-filled gem that explores the ups and downs and struggles of life. Employing a smooth, alluring backdrop laced with knocking drums, Mark James III delivers a unique vocal performance that taps into the soul.
Mark currently lives in Los Angeles where he is working on his debut album.

 

 

 

 

RD – No Long Ting ft Flowdan – (Prod by Filthy Gears).

East London native RD and grime producing titan Filthy Gears team up for a new single titled “No Long Ting “. The track has an energetic feel and showcases solid double-time flows from RD and Flowdan who don’t waste time in letting the listeners know that they don’t play with this thing of theirs. The video’s aesthetic is a slight nod to the days of Channel U and reminiscent of Boo Kroo’s theme music video, “Live One”.
“No Long Ting ” is off the duo’s ‘Filthy Ard’ project and includes guest features from Flowdan, Maxsta, Ten Dixon, Mr. X., and many more.

Rhea the Second – Pink Nation.

Chicago based singer Rhea the Second pops up on our list with a solid effort titled “Pink Nation”. Backed by an alluring/lush Production by Jayson Rose, Rhea really embodies the essence of her artistry with her ethereal and expressive vocal performance. She takes elements from legends such as Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross and Michael Jackson and blends them with an experimental style that helps set her apart from the pack.

 

BriGuel – Without Darkness

 

Briguel is an NYC based bilingual duo who blends the worlds of pop and hip-hop. Made up of real-life couple Brianne, and Miguel, the duo aim to share a universal message of love, self-acceptance, and harmony over catchy backdrops and smooth melodies. Brianne brings the soulful element into the track while Miguel flips between Spanish and English in his raps showcasing his multinational backdrop and overall experience in life.

The visual is pretty entertaining as well as it shows the couple dancing and singing dressed in clown costumes and sometimes in regular clothes indicating the yin and yang of life. Follow the duo on Spotify.

J-Fresh brings that summer vibe into the list with his vibrant single titled “My Gang”. he links up with  OFFCOURSE and Predz UK for the smooth, feel-good jam that dwells on deeper friendships and celebrates success within your circle. Download & stream the single HERE.

 

 

 

Ibn Itaka, Salomon Faye, Julian Soto – Frequent Flyer.

NYC’s underground sleeper-cell, the trio of Ibn Itaka (super-producer), Salomon Faye (NYC rap stalwart) and Julian Soto (Onyx Collective, JIL) team up for a brilliant collaboration titled “Frequent Flyer”. The record is alluring, reflective and features poignant lyrics that help the listener on the quest to find meaning in life and then some.

 

 

El Plago – Olajuwon.

Budding emcee El Plago closes up the list with a solid tribute to the legendary NBA player “Olajuwon”. Over a mellow, gritty backdrop provided by Polish beatsmith, JF, El Plago takes us back to the 90s with a golden era vibe. Armed with a smooth flow and descriptive lyrics, El Plago’s performance on “Olajuwon” is a brilliant one and serves as the perfect introduction to his music.
