June Dakid – More Time

June Dakid is not new to us and he is back with another poignant single titled “More Time”. He delivers a deep message on this record as he focuses on the aspect of how precious life is and his everlasting feelings of not having enough time. The track is produced by Kimbo Beatz while the video was shot by Dom Productions.  “More Time” is the new video from the first instalment of his “Live” releases.

 

 

 

Tieran – Dear Dilla

 

Tieran Pays Homage to J Dilla in new single titled “Dear Dilla”. The mellow, soulful track starts strong with Tieran comparing Jay Dee’s greatness to that of The Beatles. As the song progresses it gets much more personal as Tieran explains how Dilla’s music calms him in angry and even suicidal times of his life. The production (shouts to Jtbs) also pays homage with its Dilla-esque sounds. “Dear Dilla” is from Tieran’s 2-track EP “Circa 2015” which came out last week.

 

 

 

Micki Ronnae – Cream.

Budding rapper Micki Ronnae drops another banger produced by jestagotbeats.  Titled “Cream”, the record is a trap infused cut that showcases Micki’s confident and boisterious demeanor over the bouncy backdrop.

Greazy Jenkins – Bodhi

Denver based duo made up of Greazy Jenkins, and producer Chef Soul drop their newest single titled “Bodhi”. A soul-drenched record that showcases Greazy’s lyrical dexterity and laid-back style.

The duo is working on their sophomore follow up, Blue Notes, set to release August 1st.

 

 

Hill Harris – Makin Moves.

Indie hiphop act Hill Harris comes through with an energetic jam titled “Making Moves”. Over a soulful, upbeat backdrop he goes in with hard lyrics and energetic vigour. “Makin Moves” is an introduction from the newcomer Hill Harris and he is currently working on a handful of songs which will be out later this year

 

The Coldest – Lion’s Pride

19-year-old rapper who goes by the moniker The Coldest showcases some solid song crafting on his new song titled “Lion’s Pride”. As a new artist, we have to give him props for the energy and passion he brings on the track.   On this energetic song from his self-titled 8 track mixtape, he raps about being prideful, being told that his dreams were illogical, and how he would like to work with some like-minded artists such as Childish Gambino, Isaiah Rashad, Chance the Rapper, Smino, etc. A short but captivating song, he ends the verse off with a hysterical line.

 

 

Obi Khan – Taught To See.

Obi Khan drops the lead single from his new upcoming LP “THC-4” . The single titled “Taught To See” kicks off with a stripped down beat and progresses into a more soulful arrangement as the emcees come through with hard-hitting lyrics and a smooth chorus to tie things up. Danny Diamonds – Lala (Ft. Abhi The Nomad)

 

Danny Diamonds teams up with Abhi The Nomad on a soulful trippy cut titled “Lala”. Like the name suggests, the acts interlink drugs and love in a figurative manner. Hit the play button to get the full gist of the track.

 

 

Emmit Fenn – Pouring Rain (feat. Vic Mensa)

Emmit Fenn teams up with Vic Mensa on a poignant, piano-driven record titled “Pouring Rain”. The track looks at the devastating effects of peer pressure and lack of a father figure in the home. Timmy Tortuga – Come 4 Me

Indie hip-hop act who goes by the name Timmy Tortuga comes through with a concept track titled “Come 4 Me”. The acoustic vibes that drive the track suits the mellow flow and storytelling of the young emcee who weaves a tale of him running into different R&B acts ranging from Beyonce, Aaliyah and others.
