Mike G. – Ruin Your Day ft Sahtyre (Music Video)

Odd Future member Mike G comes through with a solid visual for his song “Ruin Your Day” featuring Sahtyre off his self-produced EP, Chase Clouds (April 2018). This serves as the first video from the aforementioned project. Paris Love-Child – Brass Band Bitches

London based artist and model Paris Love-Child shows us the stuff she is made of on her new single/video “Brass Band Bitches”. A natural talent who dabbles in fashion and DJing, she brings an extra spicy flow on the record a she sends warning shots to fakers out in the open. The Abnorm – Golden Era

Kansas City, MO. based rapper Abnorm drops a mellow, lo-fi record titled “Golden Era”. The song is his 2nd single and was produced by Domonique Sanders who laces the perfect backdrop for Abnorm’s laid back demeanor and smooth flow. Young Troubled minds – Rolling Stones

Young Troubled Minds presents their latest visuals for their single “Rolling Stones”, a mid-western tale of two brothers, desperate for change. This record serves as a precursor to their anticipated debut Album, Energy in Motion, set to release August 1st, 2018.  The video shows the duo in their respective environs explaining their life struggles amongst other things. Tenjin – Mama Don’t Know

Tenjin dives into the dark world of social media addiction on his new record titled “Mama Don’t Know”. While the topic is something everyone should hear, he also turns it up a notch as he solidifies the message over an upbeat head nodding backdrop.

 

 

 

Magna Carda – 2 Legit

Magna Carda delivers their brand of off-kilter, jazz-infused hip-hop on their new record “2 Legit”.  The Austin based duo have been putting in work for a minute now and have slowly built their name with their genre-defying blend of rap-meets-jazz-meets-R&B-meets-electronic.  Magna Carda is made up of MC-producer duo — Megz Kelli and Dougie Do.

 

 

GASHI – Youtube Comments/Empty Inside

Rising singer/rapper Gashi drops the visuals for his songs “Youtube Comments/Empty Inside”. The first song is a take on cyberbullying as he uses all the actual negative comments left on his Youtube page and turns it into a song. The latter is a love-laden track that explores his love for a certain individual. Directed by Shomi Patwary (A$AP Rocky, Beyonce, The Weeknd), the cinematic visual was shot in Los Angeles and brings the songs to life with relatable figures and organic aesthetics.

Currently, on his European headlining tour, GASHI has previously released other standout tracks including, “Turn Me Down,” “24 Hours” and his breakout hit “Disrespectful,” which have collectively garnered over 100 million streams worldwide. He also created a site called www.ihategashi.com where if you wrote a negative comment you can claim writing credit.

Jamar Carr – Elevator (feat. Breana Marin)

“Elevator” is the third single off Jamar‘s upcoming project “Politically Incorrect II: Misedukkkation of Negro.” On the track, he teams up with singer Breana Marin who delivers a smooth chorus over the R&B infused track.

 

J VESSEL – Lose Control

UK artist J Vessel pontificates on a delicate issue on his new single titled “Lose Control”. Over a bouncy, lush backdrop he is caught between the devil and the deep blue sea with a certain femme fatale who has invited him to her crib and he is not sure to follow through or stand his ground.

Produced by Victizzle (Stormzy, Chip, Ms Banks), ‘Lose Control’ is taken from J Vessel’s forthcoming sophomore project ‘The Story Of Jordan James’ which is due later this year. The video for ‘Lose Control’ see J Vessel starring with acclaimed poet Sophia Thakur, and is directed by MNNY ADYMI (Guvna B, Jake Isaac).

 

 

 

Bonus Banger

The Sir Duke – Rise Up.

The Sir Duke comes through to wrap up the maiden edition of our Top 10 submissions with this heartfelt record titled “Rise Up”. Over a cinematic brass driven backdrop, he takes the listener deep into the lives and challenges faced by black families in the ghetto.  Check out the new song and see the core of why society needs to take a stance on the topic of hate and separation.
