Welcome to TWIB’s Weekly Top 5 Videos. This is a segment where we will be looking at some exceptional visuals from various acts from around the globe. The music video format has been around for decades and through the 90s and 2000s, it has really taken flight from multi-million budget music videos, to mid to low-budget videos with exceptional features. In this section, we will not discriminate but rather highlight some of the creative visuals that pop up on our radar.

 

 

 

Revalation x GoD iLLa x Eli Greene – “Dreamchaser” (Feat. Eli Greene) prod. by Putty Productions

Revalation, GoD iLLa, and Eli Greene help kick off this week’s list with “Dreamchaser”. The upbeat cinematic track produced by Putty Productions is underpinned by the impassioned and double-time flows from Revalation & GoD iLLa who share a tale of struggling against the odds. The visuals shot by Larren Witter follow the journey of a teenage girl chasing her dream of becoming a visual artist. We see her working odd jobs and doing chores to save up before getting a full scholarship to one of the top art schools in the country. “Dreamchaser” ft. Eli Greene (prod. by Putty Productions) is taken from the duo’s acclaimed album RevILLutionAries

 

 

Tech G – “We Here

 

Tech G returns to the forefront with “We Here” which dwells on the concept of realness and integrity in this day and age when people don’t know the difference. Bolstered by a punchy and rousing backdrop, Tech G shares his unfiltered thoughts on being real in the face of adversity and not being a coward behind the trigger. The visual has a dark and moody aesthetic and makes use of several performance shots of the rapper as he does what he knows best. “We Here” is a new song from Tech G’s upcoming album Rol Dawgz

 

 

Elaine Kristal – “Sweet Escape”

Elaine Kristal‘s “Sweet Escape” is a soothing ballad about true love and how it can elevate one’s mind out of the doldrums. Elaine delivers a heartfelt and emotional performance ripe with conviction and evocative lyrics that explores love in its truest form. The Staten Island, NY singer shares the visuals as well which captures her in her element as she enjoys the company of her partner as they get lost in each other’s arms.

 

RYN SCOTT – “Lost”

RYN SCOTT‘s “Lost” is an ode to stepping out of one’s comfort zone and testing unknown plains in order to rise to a higher plateau. The production has a pop element to it and it’s lively too while RYN’s impassioned flows and evocative lyrics that share his journey take the cake.  The visual makes use of several pictures and clips of RYN as he experiences life at different stages.

 

 

Pigzkwisit – “Ramble”

The duo PigzKwisit help us close this week’s list with their new collaboration titled “Ramble”. The track is a heavy bar-laden track that showcases both emcee’s vivid lyricism and unfiltered style that loves of lyrics would appreciate. The visual has a DIY element and displays both Mista Pigz and Xkwisit as they perform their bars in the garden in an effortless manner.
