The music video format has been around for decades, through the 90s and 2000s, it has taken flight from multi-million budget music videos, to mid to low-budget videos with exceptional features. In this section, we will not discriminate but highlight some creative visuals that pop up on our radar.

North London rapper KIICO drops the visuals for his new single “357.” The track is an insightful and reflective tune that explores the rapper’s trials and tribulations. From the losses, setbacks and hurdles he had to overcome to reach his goals, he looks back at how far he has come/. The accompanying visual is cinematic and engaging from start to finish.

 

Disaster of Ceremonies – “Transmissions From Superintelligence”.

 

 

Disaster of Ceremonies delivers the AI-assisted visuals for their song “Transmissions From Superintelligence.” The track has a mix of contemporary pop with a funky guitar lick and head-nodding drums to match. The visuals are quite psychedelic and use elements ranging from alien mushroom fields, bug-eyed creatures amongst other motifs.

 

 

 

 

Big Dese x Mike Martinez – “Mad Rapper 2.0”

 

The prolific duo of Big Dese and Mike Martinez are back in business as they unveil the video for their song “Mad Rapper 2.0.” The track is a playful take on the current state of hip-hop, and his musical biases. Over Mike Martinez’s ominous backdrop comprising moody strings and downtempo drums, Big Dese casually states his mind on the rappers in the game. The visuals shot by The Chow Films captures Big Dese in his element.

 

 

QU/NTEN – “Sorry Not Sorry Freestyle”

22 Years Old Southbay California QU/NTEN returns with his new single “Sorry Not Sorry Freestyle.” The lyric-dense track sees the rising rapper dropping bars over a cinematic soundscape. The visual is a performance-driven flick that shows him doing what he knows best.

 

 

 

 

Reuben Aziz – “Stick Around”

Rising London-based singer/songwriter Reuben Aziz drops the visuals for his song “Stick Around,” a heartfelt tune that explores heartbreak, loss and the pain that comes with moving on. His vocal tone is distinct and expressive and the songwriting is genuine and authentic. The visuals employ subtle motifs, performance shots and blank set pieces that are anchored on the singer’s emotions.
