Coming from a mixed background, up and coming Canadian act Tee Krispil showcases a unique brand of hiphop on her new song/video “Let It Slide”. She brings a lyric heavy rap style over a retro styled backdrop on this new one which deals with her personal traits. She further explains below

As my debut video, I really wanted something that showcased who I am as a person. It’s equally bossy as it is goofy and I’m happy to say it was fully produced by women. I love working with all girls on productions, and working with Claire and Gizelle of NMTE productions was such a breeze, our visions automatically aligned and co-directing was absolutely seamless. The single is about fighting inner conflict, I wrote it in relation to a party setting, but the message can be applied to anything you battle with. “Get a grip, or Let it Slide?”…

As a Scottish, Moroccan Jew, Tee’s religious upbringing was somewhat ambiguous and left her eager for a greater spiritual understanding, which she later found through teaching yoga and creating lyric heavy hip-hop.

Possessing lyrics reflective of both personal and universal issues, Tee’s music is evocative of 90’s hip-hop. Despite being a breakthrough artist, she is no stranger to large crowds, having shared the stage with the likes of Ghostface Killa and with her rap group, The People North West, she has played with E-40, Kid Ink, Raekwon and more!
