Washington DC-based, soul/funk project, Summer Dennis & Rhymes made a huge splash on our radar with their brand new soulful record titled “Circles”. The vibrant record sees frontwoman Dennis deliver a commanding performance with her powerful vocals over a lush guitar lick and smooth groove. The classically trained artist displays the full range of her power with her gripping melody which enhances the uplifting vibe of the track as she gives thanks for all the simple things in life.

The band which started as a 7 piece band went through a smooth change to a 2 man band made up of Dennis and co-writer Bill Moore. The video shows the aforementioned transformation as we see the gradual movements of the band from what they were before to the present. “Circles” is taken from the band’s upcoming album Second Summer due out 11/8/19 and the band will be celebrating the release on the 2nd of November in Washington, DC at Smith Public Trust
