Canadian artist Spivey teams up with Nick Eyra for the reflective track “Sky Fall”. The track has a dark cinematic feel with some pop elements while the lyrics reflect on the ups and downs of being an artist and a man trying to find himself. The verses explore the deeper emotional disconnect and the eventual realization of being caught in the never-ending cycle of life. The chorus is quite emotional and gloomy with lyrics like “In reality, can’t you see the sky has fallen, the sun comes crashing down“.
In his first year of releasing music, Spivey earned himself a local award nomination at the Music PEI Awards for “Best Rap/Hip-Hop Recording of the Year” as well as gaining appreciation in the local scene of Charlottetown, PEI.
