Sirens of Lesbos is a Swiss band made up of sisters Jasmina and Nabyla Serag alongside Melvyn Buss and Arci Friede who thrill us with their unique brand of genre-bending music. On their latest release titled “How Many Miles,” they fuse the old and the new to craft a soothing, heartwarming cut that explores life, spirituality, and love in its purest essence. The track has a nice smooth texture built on warm basslines, lush guitar licks, and an infectious groove to match the honeyed vocals courtesy of the Serag sisters. In addition, their reworking of the chorus from Fugees “How Many Mics” is unprecedented but works like a charm.
