I don’t even know how to describe this track to y’all! You guys really need to hear this to understand how much I’m buzzing about this song. This is that raw boom bap sound that we know the borough called Brooklyn for; New York is definitely still standing and still got it, as shown by ‘Land Of The Crooks’.

Sean Price is definitely one emcee that finds himself annoyingly underrated; everything this cat touches has been midas. Billy Danze needs no hype because he represents the M.O.P and always brings that machine gun funk with him. I don’t know much about Maffew Ragazino but he definitely impresses by keeping up with the cast list and not just being a roll call. This is a great plus. DJ Babu of the Beat Junkies serves the cuts and scratches as he knows best to make the track the complete package that it is – I particularly like the Jeru The Damaja sample “The land of the crooks, yes Brooklyn’s the borough”.

I heard a few people go on about the song not being produced by a Brooklyn cat a la DJ Premier but M-Phazes, straight out of Australia, ensures that his beat isn’t called to question. Thus, all y’all clamoring for a BK producer can hold your horses now. Basically, the track is live and the head bop to this is epic as well. I’m told this track is part of a compilation to be released next year, one can only imagine what the whole compilation will be like.
